How does the Safety Village operate?
The Peel Children's Safety Village a is non-profit organization, with charitable tax status. It was built by the community, for the community, on land donated by the City of Brampton. No tax dollars are used to operate the safety village. The foundation for its success is a highly committed Board of Directors, along with strong corporate support.
The Board includes representatives from Peel Regional Police, the Ontario Provincial Police, regional school boards, local services clubs, and businesses. To the left is a list of the sponsors who have contributed and made the Safety Village what it is today.
How You Can Help?
The Board of Directors is sincerely grateful for the generous support of the community in making the Peel Children's Safety Village such a creative, secure and effective setting for traffic and safety education.
The Safety Village faces annual operating expenses of $80,000 - $100,000, even with volunteer leadership and minimal staff.
Only with community funding can we carry on with our learning activities, and enhance our program. Your support, either personally or corporately, can make a big difference in our efforts to ensure the safety of our community's children.
